Cashmere Care Guide

Scanlan Theodore utilises only Grade A cashmere - the finest and softest grade available, produced by a family-owned mill with over 5 generations of cashmere expertise. Certified under The Good Cashmere Standard and the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA), our 100% cashmere pieces are renowned for their luxuriously soft and lightweight qualities.

Benefits of Cashmere:
  • Luxuriously soft
  • Lightweight
  • Warmth
How to wash Cashmere

For laundering, we recommend a gentle dry clean only. Cashmere does not require laundering after every wear but should be laundered only when necessary, or at the end of each Winter season.

How to store Cashmere

Cashmere should be stored folded, not hung, and away from sunlight. Hanging cashmere garments may result in stretching. We recommend storing your natural wools and hairs with moth or cedar balls to prevent moth damage.

How to care for Cashmere

Pilling will naturally occur during the course of wear for all natural wools and hairs. This is to be expected and can be easily removed with a de-pill comb or fabric shaver. We recommend gentle regular de-pilling once every 3 wears to preserve the longevity of your cashmere piece.
