Crepe Knit Care Guide

Crepe Knit has been a Scanlan Theodore signature fabrication for over two decades. Garments crafted from Crepe Knit exude the essence of sophistication and structured elegance.

Scanlan Theodore Crepe Knit yarn is sourced from a family-owned Italian mill that have been producing some of the finest yarns for over 50 years. The yarn was established using a specially designed Italian Polyamide component, combined with a Viscose fibre, which has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The fabrication is produced from carefully selected ethical and sustainable yarns that have been processed where possible using eco-certified chemicals to reduce chemical toxicity in the manufacturing process.

Benefits of Crepe Knit
  • Structured silhouette
  • Comfortable stretch
  • Highly durable
How to care for Crepe Knit

This yarn blend allows for a high level of stretch and recovery and is durable by nature. However, as with all knitted garments, the utmost care must be taken during wear to maintain the garment integrity. Due to the fine knit construction, any contact with rough surfaces or sharp objects will result in pulls and damages.

How to wash Crepe Knit

Should you wish to launder your Crepe Knit piece, we recommend following the care label instructions. If hand washed, garments must be laid flat on a towel to dry. Wet knitwear should never be hung to dry, as the weight of the damp fabrication may result in stretching.

  • Lukewarm hand wash or mild dry clean only
  • Must be laid flat to dry
  • Garments with trims or contrast colours should be dry cleaned to ensure longevity
  • Buttons/Trims must be masked when dry cleaning
How to store Crepe Knit

Crepe Knit pieces should be folded, not hung, and stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight as sunlight may cause fabric damage or discolouration.

All Scanlan Theodore Crepe Knit and Knitwear garments are crafted with longevity in mind to exude the essence of sophistication and structured elegance. We have shared some guidance to ensure that your piece stands the test of time and can be enjoyed for years to come, just as it was designed to.
