Scanlan Theodore leather pieces are constructed from leather, crafted in Europe by an atelier internationally renowned for its leather work. This fine lambskin leather is utilised for its lightweight and luxuriously soft texture, small grain and silky touch. Being a natural skin, it is by nature more delicate than other fabrications, including heavier weight leathers. As such, the utmost care must be taken when handling and wearing our leather pieces.

How to wash Leather

Should your leather garment require a clean, we recommend a gentle spot clean by hand with a damp cloth. While spot cleaning, be mindful to avoid excessive rubbing or exposure to excess water and ensure that the colour of your cloth is neutral. Should your leather piece require a more substantial clean, we recommend taking your garment to a leather specialist for cleaning. Scanlan Theodore leather should not be dry-cleaned, as the chemicals may cause damage and ultimately compromise the integrity of the fabrication.

How to care for Leather

Lambkin leather should be put on delicately and with care, as you would a pair of fine stockings. Be sure to avoid direct heat, sharp or abrasive surfaces during wear.

How is the Leather sized for garments

We recommend that our clients size up in our leather pieces if in between sizes as this luxurious natural skin is not designed to stretch.
